things don't always turn out that way..

this is one of the dresses i received for christmas, which i wasted no time in wearing, and proceeded to team with a silvery-grey cardi as it was boxing day and i was still at my parents' house, so had very little clothing options with me!

i really love the maxi length of this dress, as well as the print; it is probably more suited to summer - there is something about white which always makes me think of hot summer days and meadows, but i'm not sure why..

the organised resolution is going ok, although my diary is filling up by the day..i am still only in the planning stages of my queen's guide award - i need to decide what to do for an expedition section of it, and last weekend i spent a weekend away at a residential event for the rangers (which my friend runs) which they invited some of the older guides to; who decided they would like to go to the same place prior to their leaving guides (ie: before the summer hols!) which would mean i would need to find time to organise this, and to do my residential licence paperwork, before the summer break - probably easter, as we have things happening at other holidays already..i need more time in the week i think, and apologies that this probably doesn't make any sense to any non-guidey types..

look out for a giveaway for my 200th post, which is coming up in the next few posts!

  2. Fab dress, will be great if we get some kind of Summer this year! If not, at least you can hide tights under it (always feel weird wearing tights in summer...) :)

  3. Don't try and take on too much hun - if the guides absolutely must go to this place, can you borrow another leader who already has a residential licence? Doing it yourself on top of the QG is going to be absolutely knackering!

  6. The dress is beautiful, but I also always seem to associate white with summer attire.

Can't really advise on the Queen's Guide stuff, but Alex's advice sounds very sensible. Good luck with it all xx

  8. Lovely dress. I think it's great you are going for your Queen's Guides Award! We have 3 camps coming up before summer but they have somehow ended up within about 6-7 weeks so I can only fully get to one. The others I'll just be doing a day of, which makes me feel a little guilty.
