during my marathon time off work over the easter break, i managed to fit in a few trips to a few different beaches, albeit all in the uk..[this is the only beach trip i have any pictures of, as the other was a "daytrip" to barmouth which ended up becoming a mini-holiday in a lovely b&b. but it's impromtu nature meant i wasn't exactly prepared with camera etc..]
i find trhere is something amazingly cheerful, and peaceful about the seaside..it totally relaxes me to go for a long wander down the sand, even if it's rainy or winter! anyone else find this?
my parents have a summer house rather close to llandudno, in north wales, which means that a lot of weekends or holidays have been spent in the north wales area..i find the whole place really relaxing, and have to admit i probably traipse up ther A55 two or tree times a month as my best friends also live near here..
so i arranged to meet up with my sister who is at uni nearby, and we spent a day pottering around llandudno..as you can see from the tights, it wasn't exactly the sunniest day, but it was pleasant enough that we were able to go for paninis and sit outside one of the streetside cafes, and we went to visit the pier in all it's tacktastic glory and played the 2p slot machines (my favourite) and had fruit pastille ice lollies (my also favourite!)..
i guess when you go somewhere so often you forget how nice and 'holiday' it can be..my outfit consisted of my primark beach print dress (not particularly intentional, just the only thing whcih i found ironed in my wales-wardrobe), grey tights and cardigan also primark, and some ancient-and-falling-apart monsoon flats..
