Anyone who knows me will know that if you say the word "Christmas" to me before about the 20th December, it won't end well. I'm not a fan. Never have been, never will be. So, when we started to talk about Christmas parties at work (what to do, where to go, who to invite - the dreaded "plus one" conversation), I wasn't exactly enthusiastic. Well, I wasn't until I started thinking about all the possible outfit opportunities, anyway.
001: The first outfit is what I'm thinking of for the option which got my vote. A meal out in the nicest restaurant in the county. I'd dress up this dress with a pretty pair of laser-cut shoes and this shrug which I've been lusting after for ages, however wildly impractical a short-sleeved faux fur shrug might be. I might have to keep dreaming about the clutch bag, though.
002: This outfit, I think would be a little more curry-house or bar-crawl friendly, with the inevitable end at one of the sticky local nightclubs. We used to work a half day on the day of the Christmas party, but I think the dress would work quite nicely with this blazer and a pair of shoe boots and lend itself to a morning in the office followed by a meal and some drinks...finished off with a bit of bling with this ring, I suppose.
003: This one, I don't suppose I could wear to the office that easily. As soon as they started to mention fancy-dress and a themed party, I headed to Fancy Dress Ball, as I know they'd have plenty of outfits for the Christmas season. I'm a bit picky when it comes to costumes; I don't like anything too short, so I was glad to see they have some long flowing options as well. I couldn't resist a glittery clutch bag and these Christmas gnome heels could work as Santa's little helpers, couldn't they?
