For some reason, despite the fact that they have been around for a while now, I'd never added a pair of Trinkletina to my Irregular Choice collection. I think that this style has been released and re-released so many times that I'd dismissed it as a bit overdone, like I've done with Flick Flack (another pair I don't own).

These ones caught my eye purely because I'd had a stock notification to say that they were back in stock in my size. I don't recall setting that up, but I must have done it when I was idly browsing shoes online. It happens.

On sale with a decent reduction, and back in stock in my size, I decided to give them a go. After all, I am in the midst of my #irregularchoicechallenge, so another pair is always welcome.

When they arrived, I was in for a fabulous surprise. The fabric underneath the bow, on the front of the shoes wasn't just floral, as I'd thought. It in fact has lots of little zoo animals hidden in the print. Penguins, tigers and a gorilla spotted so far. Perhaps, after the success of the #wardrobezoo, I need to come  up with a new hashtag : #shoezoo..?

As well as the large striped bow on the front, Trinketina have the perspex heel of so many styles these days, and a removeable set of charms; monkey, strawberry and ice cream on each side. I've not yet walked any great distance in them, so I'm unsure whether these are going to get in the way or not.

All in all, I'm very pleased with them; what took me so long?!

  1. These are super cute but I'm always put off buying shoes with big bows at the front because it reminds me of those infamous shoes in Bend it Like Beckham ahah! I love the print though, bet you'll rock these! xxx
