Suddenly I see..

Picture 060

It's been just over three months since I got my first pair of "proper" glasses. By proper, I mean ones with actual lenses, not just hipster-clear ones. I'm still not really used to it. They're only for reading, computer stuff and probably sewing.

I'm pretty good at remembering to use them when I'm at work, as they live in their case on my desk. What I totally fail to do is remember to take that case home with me, so when it comes to stitching or reading anywhere other than at work, I'm forced to make do without them. Probably not a good thing: if I need them, I suppose the least I should do is use them.

Creston Glasses : GlassesShop.com*
Luckily, GlassesShop.com offered to send me a pair of my choice from their site, to review. I had a lengthy browse and narrowed down my choice to several tortoiseshell frames. What can I say? I'm obsessed. In the end I went for these Creston frames, because I really like the shape as well as the print. I'm not sure how much they flatter my face shape, but I like them, so that's enough for me.

Ordering was really easy; once I'd chosen my frames there was a little page to fill in to choose the type of lenses you would like, what your prescription is and your pupil measurement. I expected the delivery to take a long while, with it being from China, but they were with me one week later, which impressed me.

The frames themselves seem sturdy and I liked the design in real life. They look like they do on the website, which is a good thing in my book. They're also very comfortable to wear, seem to fit well to my measurements and the lenses seem right for me. Overall I'm very happy with them and pleased that I can now have a pair of glasses at home and one at work, so I *should* never find myself without one when I need them. In theory. I am pretty forgetful, though.

Have you ever ordered glasses online? Would you? And what do you think of these ones?

    1. Also, so much more choice than the small wall of samey-ones in the opticians.

  2. They are lovely! I've always wanted to wear glasses, I even tried to fake an eye test when I was younger so I could wear them. It didn't work though!

    1. Hahaha, I did this - well, I used to say I couldn't see the board properly at school so that I would get taken for an eye test but I was always too scared to fib in the eye test, so I didn't ever need any glasses - just ended up being moved closer to the board, boooo.

  3. They look great on you, and they do suit your face shape! I've worn glasses since I was 18 months old as I'm pretty much blind, but I've never ordered them online before. I might, though, if I found the right pair. xx

    1. Thank you, I'm never quite sure what shapes suit face shapes etc but I do like the look of these. I think that so long as you know all of the prescription details, it can be a great thing as there is so much choice online.
