Sunday Shoes 045: Irregular Choice Burlesque Beauty

Don't ask me why, but when they first hit the web, I barely even noticed Burlesque Beauty. I think it was around the time I'd just added a pair of Lucite Lovely to my collection and maybe I decided they were just too similar to buy close to the same time.

Having spotted a pair in my size and reduced recently, I snapped them up and was very pleased - they may be my current favourite pair of Irregular Choice shoes!

The corsage at the front of the shoes is actually felt, rather than the silk flower I was expecting, which makes them solid and I really like the addition of the little hidden gem in the midst of the flower itself. Likewise, I'd thought that the floral print section at the front was fabric, when in reality it's a harder-wearing vinyl or PVC, so is not likely to stain as easily as I'd thought.

All in all, they're much nicer than I'd even expected, which is always nice to find. I'm finding that I'm struggling with this #irregularchoicechallenge a little, as I want to make sure I find the perfect outfits for each pair of shoes, so sometimes I find myself almost choosing a pair of shoes for the day and then changing my mind as I decide to save them just in case there is something better. Weird, right?

  4. These are pretty. I like the sound of felt flowers. I wore my new ICs yesterday and received so many comments, so comfy too, I had them on for hours and not a blister in sight.
I know what you mean about challenges and saving items for a better outfit, you don't want to be left with items that don't go together at the end.

    1. I definitely have been worried about that - I'm quite enjoying the Me Made May challenge, though - it's been quite lovely to give some of my recent makes their first outings - pairing some of them up with IC shoes has been a challenge, though.

    2. You're doing well, ICs aren't the easiest of things to pair up. I went for something completely plain to let the shoes do the talking, bit of a cop out really!
