Friday Favourites 100..

People Tree Heron Tee
001: People Tree Heron Tee, £19.60
F+F Flamingo Shopper
002: F+F Flamingo Straw Shopper, £19

This week it's all inadvertently about the birds. I've not had much time to browse the shops, either online or in person this week what with work, house hunting and various guiding activities to be getting on with. Plus, I bought a lot of the things which had been on my radar in London last week.

That said, there are a couple of items which have taken my fancy..

001: This People Tree tee appeals to me purely because the heron print reminds me of Whistler from The Animals of Farthing Wood. Does anyone else remember that TV show from the 90s? I used to tune in after school despite the fact it was heart-breaking in some episodes. I don't think it ever made it onto DVD but I plan to dig out my childhood VHS tapes at some point and marathon it. Perhaps whilst wearing this tshirt.

002: My thoughts have recently been turning to holidays and sunshine. I've been scouring last minute deals and the like in the hope of finding us a bargain set of flights and taking the opportunity to go on holiday for the first time in 7 (!!) years. This bag is bookmarked because I think it would be perfect to accompany me to the beach - the flamingos are so cheerful.

What have you been wishing for this week?

  1. That tshirt is so cool! I watched Animals of Farthing Wood too. So sad! I remember feeling devastated in an episode where rabbits had to cross the motorway. More or less massacre! Haha.

I've mostly been eyeing up fabrics this week. Just purchased 3m of the yellow disco cats fabric from Frumble. It's my Friday splurge! :)

    1. Yes, so many sad scenes. I've dug out the whole collection of VHS from my parent's house and am definitely going to start this week. I have sad memories of the hedgehogs crossing the road, though.
Disco cats? I may have to see what that is!

  2. I loved the animals of farthing wood, I had a subscription to the comic and had them all! They're on youtube, which is what my still hungover self might watch tonight!

  5. The minute I saw the t-shirt, before I'd read your post, I immediately thought of The Animals of Farthing Wood! For some reason, I always think of that cartoon every time I see a heron. Some episodes used to traumatise me... especially the time a pheasant was killed and made in to dinner by a farmer (I was horrified for months! haha), I used to have a couple of the videos that came with an AoFW magazine, but don't think I still have them. I did see the cartoon on Irish TV a few years ago, though!

I can't believe you've not been on holiday in 7 years! You definitely deserve one, and the flamingo bag would be perfect for a beach holiday or for using at the pool. I hope you manage to get away somewhere awesome! xx
