Tuesday Titles 018: Inside Number 129 by Caroline Elvin

I have to admit, my to-read pile is getting a little out of control, of late. However, when Caroline was asking if anyone was interested in reading her new book, Inside Number 129, I decided that I could definitely make space and time for one more.

Inside Number 129 is all about Eve, who is about to embark on her third year of University. She's nervous about the potential issues she may face as she begins to house-share Number 129 with friends of hers who don't get on with each other. I know from experience that this is a relatable scenario for so many students, so of course I was intrigued.

Eve also feels torn between her relationship with her boyfriend Alex and a potential new flame, Freddie. The split narrative through the book between Alex and Eve lets the reader in on the secrets of their relationship and I enjoyed the fact that I had inside information which I was willing Eve to find out.

I found Inside Number 129 easy to read. It's not going to win any prizes for being the most exciting book ever, but I found it easy to get into, easy to relate to the characters and interested in what happened to them. All in all, a nice and enjoyable chick lit which I think is worth a read.
