I'm so far down, away from the sun again..

Inca 4 Stripe Tee: SUNDRiED*
When SUNDRiED challenged me to style up their Inca 4 Stripe Tee, I have to admit I felt a little panicked. The tee takes inspiration from patterns of the ancient Inca Empire, an empire which encouraged the worship of the sun and I mean, yes, I love the sun. Like, can't get enough of it, so surely this is the perfect tee for me. But, I'm no surfer and I don't wear jeans. So how was I going to do this justice?

Rose Textured Jacket: Dorothy Perkins

After some thought, I decided to layer it up under a pinafore dress (which I may have nabbed from AMillionDresses' wardrobe) for a breakfast date in town. As it was a super cloudy morning, I embraced tights (and was rather glad I did when the wind tried to compromise my modesty!) with some trusty brogues.

Pinafore Dress + Socks: Topshop

I picked up this bowler hat from Accessorize on Saturday morning for a very reasonable £6 and really love the sequin trim. And the fact that it actually stays on my giant head. And I couldn't resist another opportunity to take out my camera bag.

Lace Tights: Primark

And another outing for this rose jacket, which I picked up in the Dorothy Perkins sale and posted last week. Recent purchases certainly seem to suggest that I'm all about the textures, lately.
After my initial fear, I was quite pleased with how this outfit came together - even if the skirt is a lot shorter than anticipated.

  1. I had that pinafore dress in black! I had the same problem with the length sadly so I gave it away. I love your outfit though! xxx

    1. I was a bit self-conscious in it, particularly as it was windy - I dno't think I'd be able to wear it without tights.

  2. I love how you have styled the tee, that pinnafore dress is so adorable.
I think I would wear it with my trust skinny Levis, or over one of my printed dresses for a bit of a clash!

  3. I don't really wear t-shirts that much so I probably wouldn't style this as such as just team it with wide-legged trousers or a short skirt and converse. Hope you're well. I like the brogues, where are they from? The hat is a great bargain!! X
