Friday Favourites 126..

E+F Isobel
001: Emily and Fin Isobel Dress, £76
Boots
002: Alberto Gozzi Gianna Boots, £180.19

Well, the first week of the spending ban has come to an end. I'm not sure if it's because it's also been back-to-work week, or whether it's not really sunk in yet, but so far it's not seemed too difficult.
That said, of course a couple of things have caught my eye.

001: The only style I seem to like these days from Emily and Fin is the Isobel. I just love the boat-shaped neckline and the prints they use are always fantastic. This little beauty popped into my inbox as it's part of the Valentine's collection and I think I'd happily be someone's Valentine if they sent me this.

002: With the rotten weather we've had locally, and the fact that I've been doing my best to be ruthless with my wardrobe, I've actually got rid of three pairs of boots lately. Sadly I took one of my favourite pairs to my local shoemaker and was told they weren't able to repair them. I think I walk strangely as I always seem to wear out the leather at the back of the foot, just above the sole.
So, I was imaginary-shopping for a pair to fill the gap, as it were. And I came across these. I like the fact that they have a rather sensible, chunky heel and sole, which doesn't look as though it would wear easily. Plus, of course, I love the studded detail. Quite a sensible wishlist addition for me, though.

What have you been wishing for this week? Is anyone else doing a spending ban challenge, too?

  1. Ha, I contemplated the navy version of this dress and then decided it was too similar to my Poppy England one!
That is sad about the boots0 I remember taking my 1st pair of sheepskin boots to a cobblers and being told they couldn't resurrect the heel (oh and I do that with shoes too- you might have quite a heavy backtread like I do). I used to walk inwards as a kid/teen and I went to the London foot hospita for a while for special insoles to sort it out. I remember wearing down a pair of heeled loafers to a 45 degree angle.

    1. Crikey, how long did it take to wear them down that much? I think I must walk heavily at the back - even with heels I find that I wear the backs first.

  2. Ooh, I love them both! I hate it when my favourite shoes wear out; it's always sad to see them go. I've just been eyeing up more novelty bags this week, and not much else! xx

  3. Oh no, this is going to be twice as difficult keeping up these posts without buying surely? Still can't believe you're doing this!!

    1. True, it's probably going to be something I do less often as it will mostly be a temptation.

  4. That dress! Gorgeous, but way out of my price range unfortunately.

I'm not on a spending ban per se, but I am saving for my wedding, so when I saw a gorgeous pair of polka dot Doc Martens in the Schuh sale, I was very broken hearted that I couldn't get them. It'll all be worth it though!
