Because, if you can't wear sequins on New Year, when can you?

This top was one of those things I bought because I loved, regardless of the fact it's not really my style. I don't suit cropped tops and wearing them freaks me out a little, but I ignored that because: sequins. I am a magpie.

Luckily, I rediscovered this skirt, which I'd had from Sarah's wardrobe and is fairly high on the waist. I decided they'd work OK together, and wore this garb to work as I was meeting a friend straight after for the evening.

I'm still pondering over my goals for 2015. Have you figured yours out yet?

  4. That top and skirt look AMAZING together! My only goal this year, other than to stay vaguely healthy, is to progress with sewing - learning to sew with knits in particular.

    1. Oh, I've still not set up my overlocker, but when I do, I'm going to give knits a try.

  8. I love this skirt, and the high waist combined with the top makes it seem less... croppy? I dunno what the right terminology is!

    1. I think I know what you mean. I don't think I'd have been comfortable wearing it with a regular skirt.
