One whole weekend where I managed to avoid the lure of the shops - so far this shopping ban malarkey seems easier than I thought. I'm sure it will get harder, though. I actually didn't go into town at all during the day as my Nan wasn't feeling up to our weekly coffee date.

So, a typical layered up outfit to head to the gym, get some petrol and generally run a few errands. Considering I wasn't too sure about the fabric when I first saw it, I'd say that my bookworm print dress has been one of my most worn handmade dresses in the past year, Isn't it funny how things can turn out?

I received this jumper for Christmas from a friend and it's such a lovely mossy green colour, which seemed to work perfectly to layer over the dress. Since unearthing it lately, I've been wearing this jacket rather often.

How was your weekend? Mine was mostly spent sewing, reading and spring cleaning, along with getting confused by the Avengers.

    1. Well, nobody thinks I can do it, but I'm going to give it a good shot.

  4. I was so impressed by your year long spending ban, I though 'maybe I could do that'. But, I found myself in town one day this week and it all fell by the wayside. I have no will power.
Imagine how good it will feel to have managed a whole year?

    1. Haha, it can be tempting - I think I'm going to have to avoid all shops in 2015.
