Chatty Elephants..

Necklace: F+F (gift)
The long Easter weekend gave me plenty of sewing time, in amongst my other plans and here's one of my latest makes. I couldn't resist this elephant fabric when I was at the Village Haberdashery a few weeks ago, and was pleased when I realised it was wider than usual, so I could get some short sleeves from it, too.

I was up really early (still not sleeping very well) on Saturday morning, so managed to get this cut out and made in time to wear it for a coffee date at 10.15, which rather impressed my Nan.

I threw on a few of my go-to casual Saturday items (these Clarks brogues and a sequin hat to hide how dreadful my hair looked). My camera bag, as usual, received a lot of attention and I really liked this dress with these leopard print tights.

Sometimes my handmade dresses look set to be a favourite. I think this is one. Only made one week ago, I've already worn it twice.

  4. Wow, I'm really impressed by how quickly you made that gorgeous dress! If I tried it would probably take me six months! Ha ha! It looks beautiful, and I especially love the cute print. xx

    1. I think it's because it's a style I've made before.
