Rock 'n' Roll..

Jumper: Handmade gift
Shoes, handbag: Irregular Choice
Skirt: Get Cutie
Necklace: New Look
I was so pleased to receive this Easter present at the weekend. This lovely pale yellow jumper was made by my Nan, and there's a back story. Basically, I'd seen a pretty, pale yellow cropped jumper in Topshop, which I loved, except for the fact it was too short for my liking.

My Nan always used to knit for us as children, but we sort of grew out of wanting hand-knitted items.  When I saw that Topshop jumper, I decided to ask her if she fancied taking it up again. Apparently she was thrilled to have a new project, and this is the result. It's just what I had in mind, and the perfect length for me.

For it's first outing, I decided to team it with my Get Cutie guitar print skirt (one of the few remaining pieces of my GC collection, I've been toying with the idea of letting this one go as well, as it really doesn't fit that well anymore and I had to safety pin it for this outing, to keep it up at waist level).

To finish off the 50s vibe, my Irregular Choice record print bag and shoes. I added these to my collection at different times over the past few years, but I am happy to have the "set" of them, now.

Definitely a much better Easter gift than a chocolate egg!

  1. I had those IC shoes, but had to get rid of them because they didn't fit well. I was very sad to see them go. I'm glad other people can wear them though!

    1. They're so lovely, I spent a rather long time trying to track a pair down.

  2. I love the bag even more than the shoes. I loved their old style handbags and gloves and things.

    1. Yes - you've just reminded me of what I can only assume was a glove holder, with poodles on it.

  3. Aw, I miss having my Nan around to knit for me :( gorgeous jumper! x

  4. So nice for your Nan to make that for you. I asked my Mum to make me a snood and she us having issues with it.x

  5. That skirt is amazing, and your Nana did a beautiful job with the jumper. :) xx
