Cat's Racing Club..

Dress: Handmade (Sew Magazine Bette dress)
This fabric makes me happy. I'm not sure what it reminds me of exactly, but I get a major nostalgia feeling from it. I think the print reminds me of a storybook we used to have at my Nan's house when my sister and I would go and stay in the summer holidays. I knew I had to make another Bette dress and found some satin bias tape in the local haberdashery to complement one of the car colours. I love grey and yellow together.

Hello Ha: Irregular Choice
I've got to admit, these weren't the shoes I'd had in mind when I was planning to wear this dress. In fact, I couldn't find the ones I wanted and just grabbed these instead as I was in danger of running late for my spin class.

Necklace: Topshop
I wore this for a party at the bank holiday weekend and decided to pick out the colour of the blue cars with this necklace and my vintage hat, which I had to pin to my head so that it would stay on in the dodgy weather. I decided that with all of the colours going on, I'd go with a grey cardigan.

    1. Thank you - I was guessing as I didn't take the fabric to the haberdasher with me.

  7. That dress is so cute! The fabric reminds me of the wooden painted race car toys I used to sell in the toy shop. And maybe Richard Scary books! I love how you've dressed it; the colour palette is gorgeous. xx
