I'm waiting on a certain something arriving as part of #frockswap15 which I've already styled up a million times in my head, so I'm not sure if I can call this dress my favourite piece. If not, though, it's a pretty close second.

I was a little worried that the bodice (it's not my size) was a little low and loose for me, so I layered the lace body underneath in order to try and protect my modesty a little. And then used the pastel colours to add to the rest of the outfit.

These purple tights are probably my favourite pair of tights, but they're so rubbed. I need to replace them one day. They match this necklace pretty well.

I had a lot of worky stuff to carry around with me and needed my camera for a site visit, so dragged my Grafea camera bag out of hiding for the day and decided it matched quite nicely with this outfit. The cardigan is a relatively recent (Xmas present) one, but has been worn so much lately. I'm like a magpie when it comes to embellishments.

Want to see what my fellow frock swappers did with this dress? Here's Erica, Donna and Chloe styling it up.

  1. This is such a pretty dress!
And I hate it when that happens with tights but you can't find the same ones again to replace them with!

  2. I love all of this, the pastels are great and I need a pair of those tights too. I just bought myself some different coloured blue tights and some nude ones for summer xx

  3. Your camera bag is so cute! I had to chuck out a similar coloured pair of tights last year. So sad! Still haven't found a replacement.

    1. Thanks! I don't often take it around with me, as I usually forget to take my camera anywhere.

  5. The layered top is a very clever idea. The tights are a gorgeous colour. I used to have some a similar colour and have never seen any since!

    1. Thank you, I was hoping to protect my modesty a little as was worried about it being a little low cut on the front.
