Looking at these photos, I'm not sure why it's taken me more than a year to get around to wearing these shoes. I have always shied away from pointy shoes as I have this thing about my feet being big enough as it is and not needing any help to look clown-sized. Maybe I should rethink that, as actually I don't think these look too bad and I really like the lacing.

Anyway, I'm rather supposed to be writing about this dress. So here goes. It's got a pretty, floral print going for it and it's a dupe of my beloved Lindy Bop Ophelia dresses. If I'm honest, it's not quite as nice. The fabric used is really thin, rather than the thick cotton I'd expect if I'd gone for the Lindy Bop original, but I guess it's one of those lessons in life - you get what you pay for, and these overseas websites offer clothes at a fraction of the cost of the originals, so what should I expect?!

Anyway, it will be fine for a night out, I'm sure. Any excuse to use my snail bag again, of course, and the cooler weather means a furry bolero is the way to finish things off.

  1. I think you should do a photo with the bag cunningly laid on the floor so it looks like you're being photobombed by a gargantuan snail! So so cute!!
I'm not so keen on the Ophelia shape as it feels a bit like flashing underwear with the contrasting colour detail but despite your reservations over this dupe, it is a splendid colour!!! So bright and cheerful!!
My Mum bought me an amazing dress back.from.America last December which I adore and yet I still haven't worn it so I understand the shoe hiatus, just waiting for the perfect moment!!x

  2. Those shoes are amazing, and they definitely don't make your feet look big! I'm terrible with heels so I'm always jealous of people who can wear amazing shoes :)

  3. I really like this dress on you, it's just a shame that the material is so thin otherwise it would be ideal!
