|Petal Dress: Dolly and Dotty*|
|Russian Doll heels: Irregular Choice|
My first outfit photos in a while, and also my first day of feeling almost-human once again. I just spent the weekend away with my friend's guide unit, for our annual Xmas themed weekend away, which was full of naps (me), crafts, movies, food and activities (them). I feel a lot better than I did last week - that's for sure!
To celebrate, I've finally got a new dress to show off. There's nothing better (IMO) than starting the week in a new dress. I mentioned in Friday's wishlist post that I had some more to say about Dolly and Dotty, so here is my first of their dresses.
To be honest, I'd not heard of the site before they got in touch with me a couple of weeks ago, but I'd certainly recommend their dresses now. This floral print is beautiful, and the cotton sateen feels lovely. The dress is fully lined, so no issues with the fact it's a pale colour, and it's waist belt is finished nicely with great attention to detail in matching fabric. It's the perfect length to wear with heels, and I chose to pair it with these, which have embroidered Russian Doll details on the front, as they're also super colourful.
I couldn't resist finishing off the red cardigan (which I chose as one of the colours in the print of the dress is red, although I think it would lend itself to just about any colour cardi), with one of my Rockafrilly pin up girls.
I didn't wear a petticoat with the Petal dress today, as I was only headed to work, but if I were off to a party or for drinks, I definitely would wear one. The skirt is plenty full enough to accommodate even my fullest Hell Bunny one.
Frankly, I can't recommend Dolly and Dotty enough, and I'll certainly be a frequent visitor to their site. SO many beautiful dresses to choose from (stay tuned for another one, soon). At the moment, they are offering 30% off your order as an Xmas treat, too!
