Everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat..

Dress: Miss Patina*
Beach Trip heels: Irregular Choice // Bag: Aldo*
Necklace: Topshop
Tights: Jonathan Aston via Thighs The Limit

It took me such a long while to get around to posting about my Aristocat blouse, that I'm posting the dress version in pretty quick succession. Never mind.

I decided that the oranges and blues would match these Beach Trip heels pretty well and also that this would be the perfect first outing for my new floral handbag, which I'm absolutely smitten with.

The dress version is a little different to the blouse in that the collar is not cat-shaped. Instead, there's a cream lace-edged collar and matching cuffs, which add some contrast to the dark blue.

I also took this opportunity to wear these tights for the first time, and I'm not sure I'm convinced by them. I love polka dots and patterned tights, but these didn't seem to work so well on me, which I think might be down to my skin tone. Half of the spots are grey and the others a kind of nude colour, which makes them hard to see, meaning that they grey are so random that they just kind of look like grubby marks on my legs. Maybe. Also a total pain to photograph.

Hey ho, you win some, you lose some, I guess.

  1. That dress is amazing, but I have to admit I thought you had bruised legs! I figured maybe you were involved in contact sports or something, ha.

    1. Hahah, I guess they do look a bit bruised from this. No intentional contact sports, although I'm pretty clumsy...

  2. The dress works really well with the accessories! I was really tempted to buy this dress but there has been something about the length that I have not been too sure about on me!!!!

    1. I think, for me, it's a little long to wear with flats but good with heels.

  3. Love the dress and love this shape on you!

  4. love this dress, can't find many cute dresses with collars at the moment because everything in the shops is tropical print and shorts for summer holidays... no thanks.

    1. Hmm, yes collars are a little hard to come by at the moment, but have you tried the Lindy Bop "Hetty" style? x

  5. Am I allowed to say this outfit looks like a 'sexy librarian'. (But in a good way, I hasten to add!).
I am pleased to read that I wasn't the only one who thought you had bruised legs!!

  6. You have a look of a very funky Mary Poppins in these photos, I love it!

I wish I could wear patterned tights, but as I'm so tall the patterns never look quite right on me.
