friday favourites 054..

001: Topshop Map Tunic Dress, £50
002: Cristofoli Bella Camee boots, £149.99
This week I've been mostly in a fabric and pattern buying mood, after a sewing day last Sunday definitely inspired me to get back into sewing, I've done a little more on my current dress project almost every day since. I'm trying to work on the "every little helps" principle instead of imposing some crazy deadline on myself, as I'm hoping that will make me less likely to cut corners just to get something finished.

001: This dress was something I bookmarked last week when I first saw it. I love the print and the shape so much, it looks fab on Rachel and her post about it made me want to order it even more. I actually did order it on Tuesday, but then got an email from Topshop to tell me it was sold out before it had been despatched, so I've been hunting for a similar fabric to make my own version ever since.

002: I am aware that we are currently experiencing the second wave of the summer weather, but my browsing has turned to autumn and winter-worthy boots, instead. I'm rather loving the colour of these shoe boots, as well as the cute little cameo detail.

What are you loving this week?

  1. Really like the map print dress, shame you couldn't get hold of the it but making your own could be fun. I've just spent about £100 on fabric recently (wooops!) but will hopefully make some nice skirts and dresses from the stash in the next few months.

  2. oh i need that dress in my life now! x

  3. I really like that map dress, hopefully you find some fabric!
