no wonder my happy heart sings..

dress : jaeger boutique
clutch bag : topshop
shoes : kurt geiger*

This dress has been longing for a "proper" outing, ever since I picked up the correct size from the store a few weeks back. And the shoes? Well, they've been waiting even longer for a first outing.

I won a competition on Twitter back in May, which meant that I could choose a pair of shoes from the Liverpool Kurt Geiger store to take home with me. These are the ones I chose. I love them, but they're probably a little too high for day-to-day wear: even for me! So when I was trying to think of something to wear for a theatre trip with my grandparents this week, I thought it was only fair to match these up and create an outfit from them. I added a bag I can't remember buying but know it must have been a long time ago, from Topshop. It's not very practical as it wouldn't even fit my phone inside, let alone the tickets to the show.

I did add a red cardigan as well, before I left the house. I forgot a coat, because it was actually really warm despite the rain, and ridiculously warm in the theatre itself. My grandad took great pleasure in counting the number of people who commented on the shoes, throughout the night. 14, in total.

  1. You look GORGEOUS! I just love the ladybird print on your dress. Haha, love that your Grandad counted the amount of people that commented on your shoes. That's something my Grandad would do! xxx

  2. You look amazing! That dress is gorgeous; I'm a sucker for ladybird prints! And the shoes are stunning. I can see why you got so many compliments on them! I can't believe you managed to walk in them, though! Haha.

  3. Your shoes are awesome! I've wanted those forever! They look great on you

  4. Wow, you look gorgeous here, Char! Perfect outfit and I'm forever jealous of your hair xxx

  5. I love all of this. The shoes a just up my street, that dress fits you perfectly and that bag is adorable x

  6. You look absolutely stunning here, possibly my favourite outfit ever!

  7. Wowee you look fab. I agree, KG shoes are just too high...I wonder who they design them for, for daywear if even us high-heel addicts can't wear them. The print on that dress is so cute.
