You got a quick snap-lock on your cold, cold heart..

Betty Dress: Duck and Duffel
Wedge Trainers: Topshop
Meet Betty, the latest addition to my collection of Duck and Duffel dresses. I already have the Audrey in a black and white camera print, which I wore to London last month, and I wasted no time in snapping this sample style up shortly after that.

I think I prefer the shape of the Betty, and I love the bow waistband (which is removable so I could wear it with other dresses, I suppose) and the muted grey against the pale blue. It also has some cute little mock pinafore style buttons at the shoulders. I teamed it with some wedge trainers and grey tights to run a few errands in town. I find that I always feel less conscious of short hemlines when I team them with a nice, thick pair of opaque tights.

Duck and Duffel dresses are made to order, so can take a couple of weeks (which is a LOT faster than I've been making dresses, lately - I've totally failed on my 12 in 12 challenge this year). I'm trying to decide which one I want next. There are other styles, but I like the Betty so much that I think I'm going to go for that one - I just need to decide which fabric I want it in. I'm torn between this moose print and these polka dots.

  1. love that moose print, very unusual. This dress fits you so nicely at the waist x

  2. Amazing dress! I love that there's someone else who loves quirky prints as much as I do! I love both the moose and polka dot prints... I've no idea how you'll choose between them... Maybe you should just get both??

  3. Ohh gosh that dress is adorable! <3
