Friday Favourites 107: Joules..
With people talking about nothing but this storm and all the rain we had at camp last week, it's only natural that my thoughts have turned to those of colder days. I've been thinking about the things I need to add to my wardrobe before we head towards Winter and what better place to start than Joules?
I was rather excited lately to find that Joules were opening a new store in my town. I've become something of a regular as I really like their current range of summer dresses, and now that the new season collection is filtering into stores, I've made a little list of the things I'll be eagerly awaiting the arrival of.
001: I love a cute brooch and think that this bee would finish off just about any outfit. He looks to be just the right size to draw attention yet not to be overpowering on an outfit, which is what I like best from a brooch. In fact, I like him so much that he may have already buzzed his way into my basket, but don't tell anyone!
002: I like the idea of layering this tunic style dress over a pair of leggings or maybe thick tights, with some welly boots and maybe a jumper and scarf as the weather gets worse. I'm finding myself more and more drawn to stripes lately and I think that this would be a good basic which I could wear with many different colours or even a mix of patterns.
003: I can't believe it's only August and I'm already getting excited about adding to my jumper collection, but I was just thinking recently that I could do with a plain red jumper. I like the lovely chunky knit effect and the fact that even though it has the cable stitch detail to the shoulders, it's would still work as a lovely basic staple, which I could layer over dresses like the one in 002.
004: Of course, no Joules wishlist would be complete without a pair of their funky wellies, right? This season they have bees - I love to check what prints they have each time the new ones come out. They'd go really well with the bee brooch and what with the allotment, the annual flood season and all the time I spend camping, I can always use another pair of wellies - that's just good sense!
Have you seen the new Joules collection? What's taken your fancy?
