I love snail mail. There's nothing new or groundbreaking about that. This post is just some of the reasons why.

Recently, aside from the usual letters to my regular penpals, I've had some lovely mail arrive. I signed up to @EnidHedgehog's #ftfoJanuary swap and received this wonderful package of goodies from Sarah-Beth. She sent me a copy of her latest zine, some post-it notes which I'd been eyeing up recently and a mix-CD with lots of bands which are new to me, but I'm enjoying, along with lots of other lovely things!

I love parcel swaps as I really love putting together a little collection of items which I think the recipient will appreciate. These items don't have to cost a lot (or even cost anything!); it's just lovely to know that you're sending something which your recipient will appreciate (hopefully, anyway!)
I'm going to be running a February swap to spread some love, so if you'd like to take part, keep reading for details.

I've been part of #postcircle for a while now - since it began, in fact, and a lot of my current pen pals were found through that. If you fancy writing letters, it's a lovely way to get started!

To give me a little push to get myself back on track, as I've been a little lax lately, I've decided to take part in #lettermonth, which is all about sending one item of snail mail for each day this month. I'm clearly going to have to send a bundle out to catch up, as I'm only on 2 letters so far this month, but I think it's a reasonable challenge and that I should be able to catch up. I'm going to use some of the days as reasons to send postcards to some of the friends I don't see enough of.

So, do you fancy sending some snail mail, too?

If you'd like to sign up to my #spreadtheloveswap, all you need to do is drop me an email with:
  • name
  • postal address
  • likes / dislikes
  • blog / instagram / twitter links if you have them
Sign up for this one by 14th Feb and I'll email your recipient by the 16th. Put a package together for them, with a total cost of no more than £5, filled with love. Posting deadline: 27th Feb.
