Yet another weekend which seems to have flashed by in an instant. I spent my Saturday at the RAF museum, helping to run an event for almost 400 brownies and rainbows. It seemed to go really well, but I barely stopped dashing about all day. Then, I hotfooted it up to Liverpool, to meet Alex, Becks and Lucy, as L was running the half marathon the following day.

So, Sunday was spent cheering her on at the start, wandering off for brunch at nearby Moose Coffee, and then heading back in the pouring rain to cheer her on at the end of the race. How she managed it, I've no idea. But this is her race 3/13 in 2015. If you want to find out more, have a read of her page here.

Then, after an afternoon of loafing about on the sofas, we waved goodbye to Alex, I dropped the other two off at the station and headed home, where I was treated to a lovely tea of tapas and then home for a film before bed. I didn't manage to tick off any of the things I'd been meaning to do, but I'm actually kinda OK with that, because it was a great weekend, it gave me a chance to get away and to actually relax, which is something I have been definitely needing. As someone told me last night, I never let myself switch off. He has a point.

So, today's outfit. A fairly uninspiring combination, but I liked the idea of pink accessories with an otherwise not-so-pink outfit. This jumper has become something of a wardrobe staple since I received it in a clothes parcel from Jen, who I was paired up with for a recent clothes swap. This spending ban is certainly making me more inventive when it comes to stretching the capacity of my wardrobes, if nothing else!

I'm trying to tell myself that it's a good thing to let myself relax, sometimes. It seems to be.

  1. Yep, I'd agree with mystery man, you definitely need to relax. Nice you had fun.with Alex and co.x

  2. I'm hopeless at relaxing and switching off and I'm ill and still can't manage to do it. My Mum was telling me this the other day! I just have too much to do (all the time) to be able to take a break without feeling guilty. Love your coat, it's great.

    1. Thank you, I'm still pretty proud of the coat.
