friday favourites 043..

001: Ravel Keegan Bordeaux Heels, £69.99
002: Bobbins Lamp, Next, £50
This week's wishlist was fairly easy to compile. I have resigned myself to the fact that it's still quite a while until I will get to wear proper sandals, so I'm limiting myself to (almost) sensible shoes instead..

001: I'm always a fan of a little leopard print. Maybe not on the scale of a Bet Lynch obsession, but I never shy away from a little bit in an outfit, so these Ravel heels really appealed to me. I've heard of, but never bought anything from Ravel , so I'm broaching out into unknown shoe territory a little here, but I like the platform, the contrasting heel and the burgundy colour of these - and they're only a tiny bit impractical, with a little peep toe.

002: I'm sure I'm not the only one to have seen a LOT this week about Next's homeware range. And to be honest, I'm just jealous as I am really excited by a lot of their new range. This bobbin lamp has been on my radar for quite some time now and I can't wait to pick one up and get it set up on my sewing table, which has been tidied and sorted out as part of The Big Spring Clean this week. I think it would be the perfect thing to finish it off - planning to do a bit of a post on my sewing area, as I'm quite pleased with how it's looking at the moment.

What are you wishing for this week?

  1. That bobbin lanmp is RIGHT up my street! Thanks for the inspiration! I shall make my own... though ;-)

  2. Oh I loooove that lamp, it looked so boring until I saw further down! I used to own some Ravel shoes, back when they were a 'proper' shop. Actually I was on a school trip to Edinburgh and bought two pairs (my friends thought I was mad). One pair were exactly like Sandy's shoes at the end of Grease, wooden mules but they were a dull lime shade, i completely wore them to death, they were battered to bits. The other pair were perspex, low heeled and the heel had a complete hole in it (it was just a frame with nothing inside) and they had different coloured plastic straps across them. Jeez that's going back about 18 years!

  3. Those shoes are stunning! Love the platform detail - such a cool idea!

  4. My sister has that exact same bobbin lamp, and it really is amazing. I keep encouraging her to buy other designs. Love those shoes- they're gorgeous!

  5. I love that sewing bobbin lamp too. Would definitely love to have a little tour of your sewing room. Not sure what I'm wishing for this weekend, although I do have quite a few different fabrics from Frumble bookmarked on my laptop at the moment!

  6. That lamp is amazing! Perfect for your sewing table too! xx
