But this one, I'm very glad they made. I ordered it despite the V-neck front, which is a style I've always tended to shy away from. This seems to have a much more shallow V section than I'd actually thought,as there's a plain green edge under the giraffe print neckline. Obviously, I really love the print, and I'm fairly obsessed with dark green at the moment so that was a huge selling point. ( I do think the giraffes look a lot better against the green than against the red fabric in the other version).
I'm not sure whether the giraffes are more yellow than orange, but I went with orange shoes and hoped for the best, and was told by the ladies in the changing room when I went for my morning swim how well they matched, which is good enough for me!
I also think I've fallen out of love with this blazer, which used to be a firm favourite. Maybe it's just how scruffy I look in the last photo.
I am currently having a massive stress-out about this evening. I've organised a little get-together for my Queen's Guide Award to be presented, but I'm worried it's going to be really boring for everyone. I've baked lots of cakes, but am worrying in case I don't have enough. Argh.
I am however, pleased to report that my feelings of "unenthusiasm" noted in this post are well and truly in the past. Having been back at Guides for two weeks so far this term, I'm full of enthusiasm once again and we have lots of things planned for upcoming weeks and trips away. Another girl made her promise this week and our newest guide (only two weeks in) is already asking about hers, so I guess we must be doing something right..the only problem seems to be finding the time to do everything; looking at my diary, it's crammed full up to the end of the year, already.
here, as well. I'm entering!
