It's not what it seems In the land of dreams..

Dress: Jolie Moi*
This week really seems to have it in for me; I'll be glad to see the end of it. However, pretty new things during the spending ban are few and far between so these have cheered me up no end. I'm finding that the spending ban is making me more resourceful - I'm setting up and taking part in clothes swaps, which is where I got this brooch from. I swapped it for a different Tatty Devine brooch which I'd won in a competition but never worn.

I took inspiration from Gemma's post for outfit ideas - having absolutely fallen for the Buffalo shoes she used, I knew I'd have to find a green pair of shoes to wear with it. So I unearthed the Oz heels and went with a green cardigan, too, as I thought the brooch would show up better on a pale colour.

The dress itself is lovely. A fabulous 50s shape, as with all of my Jolie Moi dresses so far (I say that as though there are more than just the car print and swan print ones..) and a chunky zip, which seems to be a signature detail which I'm rather fond of on their dresses. The print is lovely, and the quality is really great - so good for the price point, in my opinion.

How would you style this dress?

  4. I knew you'd look great in it. I wouldn't have thought to pair those Oz with it, but it works.

    1. I always think they're one of my least favourites - for some reason I don't like the tinsel-y texture. And yer. I do wear them quite often.
