Despite the fact that the weather seems to have changed since this time last week, will I accept it and dress accordingly? Um, no. I've been wearing nothing but sandals and bare legs all week, despite the fact that the rain has been pouring down. I've never been one for successful seasonal dressing.

This dress has been packed away since at least a year ago when I last wore it, but I spotted someone else's recent make with a swimmer print fabric on Instagram, which reminded me of the fabric I'd ended up using for my #SewDollyClackett entry

These shoes have been sitting patiently in the Wardrobe Room for goodness knows how long. In fact, I do know - I bought them in Leeds in September 2013. I took the tags off them this morning to wear, deciding they were the perfect match for this dress and for my old favourite Brit-Stitch heart satchel.

In a little life update, I'm still feeling as exhausted as I did at the weekend, but I had a lovely surprise on Monday evening when my sisters arrived to take me to the cinema to watch the Minions movie. It was good to relax and not worry about the things which have been filling my head of late.

  1. Awesome dress, bag and shoes!! I never understand why people say pink and red shouldn't go together as I love it.

Glad to hear you had a well earned night off too :)

  3. I love those shoes, hope they are comfy and you get plenty of wear out of them. I'm wearing red and pink today too. I'm feeling a bit anxious about the new job and a movie night would help me out I think xx
