If you go down to the woods today..

Dress: Handmade (Fabric: Cotton+Steel Bear Hug) // Bag: Pepa Loves
Crazy levels of tiredness today after one of *those* emotionally draining weekends and also kind of still reeling from last night's episode of The Archers. Zomg.

Anyhow, one of the things I did manage to achieve this weekend is making this dress from some fabric I couldn't resist a couple of weeks ago. I know that this year's goals were to use what I had and I have a post about what this month's aims are, but hey ho. Newsflash: Sometimes I buy new fabric and the world doesn't end.

I often buy fabric without knowing quite which dress I'm going to turn it into, but had decided as soon as I saw this one that I wanted something with sleeves. I guess because the other bear dress I've made is a sleeveless one. I went with the Emery pattern, lined the bodice because it's a pale fabric and used some sleeves I've drafted in the past, which seem to be a good length for me. (You can see them here.)

Cardigan: F+F // Abigail's Party boots: Irregular Choice
So, the natural choice for this dress seemed to be this bear shaped bag from Pepa Loves, whose new season collection boasts a billion cute things, as always! Apparently it's a Japanese cartoon, which I'd not heard of before, but it's also pretty cute of it's own accord.

This week is already looking up, and I've made some progress on the Miette cardigan, which I'm enjoying so far..

  1. I looove the bag, very cute. Dress looks beautiful too. I've been so tired these past couple of weeks, missing deadlines left, right and centre.

    1. Haha, sometimes I guess it's okay to break the rules. Particularly when they're self-imposed rules.

    1. Thanks, I'm the world's best procrastinator when it comes to some things, but with others I can just crack on and I'm quite impatient so just want to get them done.
